1. Senior Court Assistant (Senior Translator)
(Pay Band of Rs. 9300-34800/- + Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/-)

 Essential Qualifications:
(i) Master's Degree of a recognized University,
(ii)Diploma/Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa
from University/Institute recognized by the Government;
 OR
3 years experience in translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in
Central/ State Government offices/Parliament/State Legislature Secretariats or
Central/State Public Sector Undertakings/High Courts/Supreme Court of India.
Knowledge of Computer Operation

2. Court Assistant (Junior Translator)
 (Pay Band of Rs. 9300-34800/- + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/-)

 Essential Qualifications:
 (i) Graduate with English/Hindi as one of the languages at the degree level
(ii) Diploma/Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa
from University/Institute recognized by the Government;

 OR
2 years experience in translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in
Central/State Government offices/Parliament/State Legislature Secretariats or
Central/State Public Sector Undertakings/High Courts.
Knowledge of Computer Operation

Age: Candidates should not be below 18 years and over 27 years as on
20.1.2015. Usual relaxation in age will be admissible to
SC/ST/OBC/Physically challenged/Ex-Servicemen. There shall be no upper age limit for persons serving in this Registry. The relaxation in upper age limit will not be applicable to the candidates who are working in other Govt. Departments/PSUs.

Mode of Selection for both the posts: 
Selection shall be made on the basis of Written Examination as per details mentioned below:-
Scheme of Examination
(a) A written test of General English and General Knowledge with multiple
 choice answers ( Objective Type) – 30 Marks
(b) Translation from Hindi to English (60 Marks)
(c) Translation from English to Hindi (60 Marks)
The candidates shall have to directly translate the given matter on the
computer and take out the print.
The candidates who are declared qualified in the above examination will
have to appear and qualify in interview.

General Information:
Candidates who fulfill the prescribed qualification, age requirement and other eligibility conditions may send their applications in the prescribed proforma giving full particulars supported by copies of the requisite certificates/ documents such as proof of age/matriculation certificate, educational
certificate(s),experience certificate, caste certificate, disability certificate, discharge certificate in case of Ex-Servicemen etc. all duly attested by Gazetted Officer failing which the application shall be rejected without any communication. Applications must be accompanied by a Demand Draft/ Pay Order of Rs. 200/- (Non-refundable)(in case of General/OBC), Rs. 100/-(Non-refundable)(in case of
SC/ST/Physically Challenged/ Ex-Servicemen) drawn in favour of Registrar, Supreme Court of India payable at Delhi. It is made clear that if any application is received without attested copies of relevant documents, attested photographs, unsigned application and the application not routed through proper channel or not accompanied by requisite NOC from their employers, the same shall be rejected summarily and no inquiry thereto will be entertained.A candidate applying for both the posts shall have to make separate applications with separate requisite fee.

The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for admission to the examination. Their admission at all stages of examination viz. Written Examination and the interview will be purely provisional subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If on verification at any stage before or after the said tests/interview, it is found
that any candidate does not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, his/her candidature for the examination shall stand cancelled without any notice or further reference. While applying for the posts the applicants should also bear in mind that the selected candidates will have to work even at odd hours and on holidays.

The applications should reach the Registrar (Admn. I), Supreme
Court of India, New Delhi-110201 by 20.1.2015.
Any application received by the Registry after the last date i.e.
20.1.2015 shall not be entertained under any circumstances.
No TA/DA will be payable to the candidates for appearing in the
tests/interview.
